We're Leene Store

Leene - handicraft mastery passed down through generations. The founder of Leene has inherited these skills from her mother Liene and grandmother of French origin Lizette Liljē, she was a wonderful teacher. Both were skilled at handicrafts. Founder of the brand Dace, remembers herself practicing with crochet hooks early in her childhood. Even though her mother Liene had a farmhouse and 3 children to look after, she always sewed and knitted apparel for her kids and prepared warm presents for relatives and friends.

The brand was founded in 2018 honoring grandmother Lizette, hence the name Lizeteadijumi was chosen. Initially, handicrafts were offered as a hobby at the craft level. With all the great feedback and growing interest from customers, the decision was made to launch Facebook and Instagram pages on September 4th, 2019 with the initial branding Lizeteadijumi.

With the growing customer interest, there was a need for an online store. Knowing that LizeteAdijumi would not work as great internationally, a rebranding decision was made, the brand was renamed Leene and social media pages - LeeneStores - honoring the new generation knitter Liene (Leene).

Leene's core value and traditions remain the same - offer high-quality apparel made from the finest premium, non-allergenic materials. As the brand grew, quality remains the same, naming was changed honoring the mother of our beloved founder - Lieni (Leene).
